Clear and actionable framework so that you can support your clients to experience meaningful relief from their gender dysphoria.
We are collaborating with Transgender Victoria to bring you...
A workshop for parents
We will explore:
- Some of the most common experiences of parents of trans people at the early stages of their journey, as well as why it is often difficult for parents, just as it is difficult for trans young people.
- Minority Stress Theory, as it relates to the experiences of parents, and look at what the evidence shows us makes the biggest difference for the wellbeing of trans young people.
- One of the biggest mistakes parents make as they try to protect their trans child with limited support for themselves.
- The 'wellbeing curve' that maps how the wellbeing of trans young people and their parents often gets worse before it gets better, and what we know helps parents to find greater ease in their own process.
Trans Wellbeing seeks to meaningfully contribute to the wellbeing of trans people and those who care for them. We do this through high quality educational content and facilitated group support.
We believe that the world needs a shift in how we understand gender diversity - from one that centres suffering and unease to one based on the deepest human need for authenticity and connection.
